BEC – Baltimore is established as a council affiliated with AIA Baltimore and is guided by an independent local board of AIA and non-AIA members.
BEC – Baltimore works in cooperation with BETEC—the National Institute of Science and Technology Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council, and the American Institute of Architects.
BEC – Baltimore meets 9-10 times a year. Members share information regarding ongoing projects, issues, and research; sources of reliable information on design and construction practices; and lessons learned.
Meetings generally consist of presentations by industry leaders on topics related to building enclosure technology. Throughout the year tours of building projects and workshops will provide additional educational opportunities for focusing on building enclosure design.
